Brick Barbecue (II)
You want to build up the brick to four high. Once you have the bricks build up all the way around, spread a thin layer of loose gravel inside the bricks. Then, pour about four inches of concrete over the gravel. With the hand level, you want to ensure the brick levels are even. Additionally, using the trowel, you will wipe off excess mortar every two rows. Then, depending on the design you chose, you will continue building the back and sides of the barbecue while the concrete sets. Remember that four inches of rebar will need to be inserted into fresh mortar joints at the level you want for the grills.
Be sure they are close enough together for grilling meat and vegetables. Once you have built the bricks to the height that you planned for your grill, you will need to top the walls off with solid bricks. Finally, using the brush, go over the brick to remove any pieces of mortar. Once the concrete is dry and the mortar dry, you can add your favorite cooking medium and have a nice barbeque.
