Back in the day “my other life” as I call it, the restaurant business is how I earn it. It did not take too long to learn there were only three groups of people trying to steal from you: employees, customers and suppliers. As far as employees are concerned, a naive bumpkin, I think they are all honest until the “given” the opportunity to take something. In other words, put some obstacles in their way and possibly honesty will prevail. Do not make it easy! The same idea applies to protect your home if you are out of town or not. We all want to make sure that our home is protected and safe while we go for days or for long periods of time. There was no way to know for certain whether something will happen when we leave. The only thing we can do is prepare the house to stay safe, while we’re not there. There are several things we can do in order to provide home security for us. From the beginning of the human person have felt the urge to protect what they own. They started by closing the entrance to the cave with the stone, then gold and jewels they hid in the ground. Then they found the key. It was first made of wood and rope. They serve the purpose very well, although they are not very well designed.
